ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF
My name is Jess, I grew up in Southold NY on the North Fork of Long Island. I am a self taught chef, using our local bounty to inspire the food I cook. I believe that a meal should be a gathering, an intimate collection of people you choose to be around, a love story through food. I’ve been a big part of my community for several years, one of the founders of North Fork Roasting Co. , competitor on Food Network’s Chopped, cooking demos at local high schools, and for the past five or so years solo with Rustic Roots and Recipes, being a private chef is what has brought me the most joy during this process we call life. I think it’s the connection of people through food where I really get to know my guests and create their story for the evening.
